
Ms Sharon Tay

Ms Sharon Tay has work experience in managing accreditation & licensing related work in healthcare industry for past 18 years. She has been actively involved in various quality functions in both the manufacturing and healthcare industries for more than 20 years, focusing on implementing and maintaining quality standard systems since 1993.
She has pioneered the implementation and maintenance of the integrated management system in the largest tertiary hospital in Singapore. She plays an instrumental role in integrating the Joint Commission International (JCI), ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management system standards and the internal audit for various other standards, including ISO 22000, RTAC and GDPMDS.
To help manage the different quality management systems, Sharon has capitalised on IT. She implemented an online system to manage ISO & OHSAS standard requirements and records. The online system was the first in the healthcare industry to ensure a comprehensive coverage of ISO & OHSAS requirements.
She is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organisation Excellence and trained as SPRING Business Excellence Assessor and Team Excellence Assessor. She recently achieved WSQ ACTA in Jan 2015
Sharon is also a Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer. With her knowledge and experiences, she has implemented a workplace safety framework adopted from good practices from other industries.
Sharon has an Advanced Diploma in Quality Management (awarded Gold Medal) and to further enhance and keep pace with changes, she has obtained a Degree of Science in Human Factors in Safety at UniSIM in 2015.
Sharon has frequently shared her experiences on the implementation process of integrated management system at both local and overseas conferences from as far as the United States. Her recent sharing is at the ASQ Audit Division Conference 2015 on “Risk Management in Internal Audit Planning.
